Doomed Dinosaur Ecosystems

The points highlighted on the above map represent some of the best-known localities for latest Cretaceous dinosaurs in North America. Many preserve dinosaur fossils right up to the K/PG Boundary, the layer of rock documenting the extinction of the dinosaurs and many other Mesozoic groups and the beginning of the time of mammals. Red points are where Denver Paleontology teams and partners are actively digging.
